COBRA Services Rebranded as PacificSource Administrators
Effective October 1, 2011, Manley's COBRA services are rebranded under the PacificSource Administrators name. For more information, please read our Employer Bulletin announcement. In addition to the name change, we've upgrading to a COBRA system that will provide web-based services for our COBRA clients and participants. You'll receive the same great customer service you've come to expect from Manley Services. Benny Card Change: Documentation Request Letters
Beginning in June 2011, Manley Services will introduce a change in the frequency and wording of letters requesting documentation for Benny™ MasterCard® transactions that are not automatically adjudicated. FSA and HRA participants who currently have outstanding Benny™ transactions will receive one or more notices, based on their account status. Please read more in our May 23 Employer Bulletin.
New IRS Rule: Tax Treatment of Healthcare Benefits for Children Under Age 27
In response to the recently enacted federal healthcare legislation, the IRS recently issued Notice 2010-38 regarding the tax treatment of employer-provided health benefits for young adults under age 27. Most OTC Medicines Now Require Prescription for Reimbursement
As of January 2011, most over-the-counter (OTC) medicines are no longer eligible for a spending account without a prescription from a medical provider. Please see our FAQ and member flier for more information.
