What's New
New Online System for Manley COBRA Services
Effective October 1, 2011, we are upgrading to a COBRA system that will provide web-based services for COBRA clients. Concurrent to the system upgrade, Manley's COBRA services will be rebranded under the PacificSource Administrators name. Please read more in our September 15 Employer Bulletin.
Our Offices Have Moved
To better serve our customers and streamline operations, we have moved our offices from our current location in Coburg, Oregon to Springfield, Oregon. As of August 1, our Customer Services Representatives will be available to assist walk-in clients in the PacificSource Health Plans headquarters building at 110 International Way in Springfield. View map.
The move will not affect phone or fax numbers. PO Box addresses will also remain the same.
Benny Card Change: Documentation Request Letters
Beginning in June 2011, Manley Services will introduce a change in the frequency and wording of letters requesting documentation for Benny™ MasterCard® transactions that are not automatically adjudicated.
FSA and HRA participants who currently have outstanding Benny™ transactions will receive one or more of the following notices, based on their account status. Read more in our May 23 Employer Bulletin.
OTC Medicines Now Require Prescription for Reimbursement
As of January 2011, most over-the-counter (OTC) medicines are no longer eligible for spending account reimbursement without a prescription from a medical provider. Items such as cough medicines, pain relievers, allergy medicines, acid controllers, and diaper rash ointment will no longer be reimbursed unless there is a doctor's prescription submitted along with the reimbursement request.
On December 23, 2010, the IRS ruled that FSA and HRA Debit Cards can be used to purchase prescribed OTC medications. Please see our updated FAQ (question #11) and member flier for more information. You can also read the full details in the IRS Notice 2011-5.
